We are independent and work with a carefully selected group of insurers that we have regular contact with. Pre-lockdown we were meeting with contacts from most of our insurers twice yearly. Even now we have regular telephone and zoom calls with Insurers.
Using a broker doesn’t cost more than going direct. We are paid a commission by the insurance provider for selling their products. We have agencies with all the major insurers and use a panel of insurers when we are obtaining quotation.
It’s important that no insurance jargon goes unnoticed. As a broker we are responsible for ensuring any optional extras or cover not included within your policy is clearly disclosed to give you a clear understanding for the level of cover being offered.
About Black Rock Insurance Services
Black Rock Insurance Services was set up by John Jewett in 2000. The name of the company came from the shipping Buoy in the Solent just outside Yarmouth (a replica of the buoy is outside Yarmouth school). From then on we have been going strength and have two branches, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight and Battle, East Sussex. Now Alexandra and Andrew (daughter and son of John) are directors of the company and keep the family legacy going. We provide a professional and friendly look at insurance and with the aim of helping all of our clients understand what they are purchasing and how it helps them.
